Course Summary
Governing boards accomplish their work within the context of higher education and its traditions and values and within the organizational culture that develops around how board members interact in their governance roles. Core values of institutional autonomy and academic freedom are addressed in this Module together with the importance of board engagement with both internal and external stakeholders. Boards structure their work within a framework of bylaws and policies and accomplish their work through their committee structure.
